LOST IN THE WOODS

I enjoy collaborating with mother nature. Lost in the woods consists of drawings on exotic veneers. For those of you not familiar with veneer, it is a paper thin slice of wood often called a leaf. The leafs are cut so thin that the grain pattern is nearly identical from leaf to leaf. I combine leafs with a center seam to produce symmetrical compositions. I think of it as a natures Rorschach test. A combination of my subconscious as well as the subconscious of the tree.
